We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Frontend Platform & Commerce Experiences to design and build the next generation of reusable, high-performance web components that power Microsoft’s commerce experiences — including pricing, cart, checkout, and payments. This role is for a frontend-focused engineer with experience in modern web frameworks, accessibility, and design systems. You will help define and evolve Microsoft’s commerce UI architecture while ensuring secure, high-quality, and scalable user experiences in close collaboration with design, product, and engineering partners. As a hands-on engineer, you will modernize and scale web experiences across multiple properties, drive adoption of web components from our Reimagine design system, and extend that library to power dynamic, enterprise-grade shopping and checkout flows. Beyond hands-on development, you’ll influence architecture, improve developer efficiency through shared tooling and governance, and ensure quality at scale by reviewing pull requests and mentoring vendor engineering teams.
