Senior Software Engineer, Frontend (Consumer - New Product Vertical)

We are looking for a software engineer within the Consumer Product Group. In this role, you will be a founding engineering on a new team, designing and launching a new product offering on Coinbase.

Responsibilities

• End to end ownership of engineering for the new Coinbase for Business product
• Backend systems design and architecture for new product offering
• Writing code and building prototypes as needed for the MVP and future vision concepts for Coinbase for Business including international payments, payroll, invoices etc.
• Collaboration across Coinbase teams to launch supporting features - onboarding, multi-user, payment rails, tax, settings, commerce integrations etc.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in software engineering
• At least 4 years of experience in developing web apps and shipping user-facing features with JavaScript and modern, component-based JS frameworks like React
• Familiarity with current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance, security and usability
• Familiarity with product and design lifecycles, and collaborating closely with designers, engineers, and product managers
• Ability to write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of customers.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working on front-end teams in the fintech space
• At least 1 year of experience in developing React Native mobile apps or helped move existing native apps to React Native
• Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with onchain activity such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain-based services.
