About The Position

SS&C GlobeOp is seeking an experienced Senior Front-End Software Engineer to help build and evolve modern, data-intensive financial applications using Angular (v20). This role is ideal for an engineer who can take well-defined UI/UX designs and wireframes and deliver polished, production-ready user interfaces, while also applying strong judgment to improve usability and workflows where needed. You will be working on complex financial applications featuring high-volume datasets, advanced grid interactions, and role-based workflows (maker/checker), integrated into an internal enterprise design system. This is a front-end focused role, working closely with backend engineering teams as APIs and services evolve. SS&C GlobeOp is a global provider of investment and financial services and software for financial services and healthcare organizations. Named to the Fortune 1000 list, SS&C is headquartered in Windsor, Connecticut, with 25,000+ employees across 95 offices in 35 countries. Over 18,000 clients, from the world’s largest institutions to local firms, rely on SS&C’s solutions to manage and account for investments. This role focuses on developing responsive front-end applications, APIs, and integrations to provide a seamless user experience. You’ll collaborate with a team of Software Engineers, Business Analysts, DevOps Engineers, and QA specialists to deliver innovative, user-focused solutions.

Requirements

  • Strong experience delivering enterprise front-end applications in Angular (16+ required, Angular 20 preferred).
  • Experience working with modern Angular architecture, including standalone components and modern routing/lazy loading patterns.
  • Strong experience with AG Grid (Enterprise strongly preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of RxJS / reactive programming, including Observables, BehaviorSubjects, and operators.
  • Expertise in TypeScript (strict mode), HTML5, and modern front-end development patterns.
  • Strong experience with Tailwind CSS, SCSS, and CSS custom properties/design tokens.
  • Experience with AI-Assisted development (Copilot, GPT, Claude, etc.).
  • Comfort working with web components/custom elements and design-system-driven development.
  • Proven ability to build polished, high-quality UI in data-heavy applications (grids, workflows, financial formatting).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to optimize performance in production environments.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and design.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with enterprise design systems and/or Angular CDK / Angular Material.
  • Experience with Jasmine + Karma or other front-end testing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with containerization concepts (Docker) and Kubernetes fundamentals as they relate to deploying and running Angular/TypeScript front-end applications.
  • Experience with application monitoring tools (Application Insights or similar).
  • Familiarity with client-side encryption patterns (ex: crypto-js).
  • Experience with third-party select libraries used in grid-based UIs (Slim Select, Tom Select, Choices.js).
  • Experience with GoJS for interactive diagrams and workflow visualizations.
  • Financial services experience, particularly around cash reconciliation, transaction workflows, GL accounting, approvals, and maker/checker processes.

Responsibilities

  • Build scalable, high-performance front-end applications using Angular 20 and modern Angular best practices.
  • Translate Figma/wireframes into clean, responsive, production-grade UI.
  • Engineer highly interactive data-grid experiences using AG Grid Enterprise, including custom cell renderers/editors, filtering, grouping, tree data, and pagination.
  • Implement role-based workflows (maker/checker/admin) that drive UI behavior, permissions, approvals, and data visibility.
  • Work within and extend an internal enterprise design system, leveraging design tokens and reusable UI components.
  • Develop and maintain reusable front-end components and shared UI patterns (modals, toasts, alerts, dropdowns, tooltips, etc.).
  • Build the service layer for API integration, converting mocked services into real HTTP-based integrations using Angular HttpClient and RxJS.
  • Ensure UI performance, accessibility, and maintainability in a complex, data-dense environment.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture planning.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, QA, and backend engineering teams.
