About the position
As a member of the Hayden Software Engineering organization, you will contribute to the development of next-generation products focused on enforcing School Bus Stop safety. This role involves delivering high-quality C++ code for edge devices, enhancing machine learning and computer vision models, and collaborating with product management to address customer needs. The position requires working in a fast-paced startup environment, emphasizing the importance of well-designed and tested code.
Responsibilities
- Deliver bullet-proof, rigorously tested C++ code.
- Iterate on our suite of real-time vehicle tracking and license plate reading systems.
- Refine and optimize cloud-side image and video processing.
- Deep dive into performance optimization, focusing on algorithms specifically for the Nvidia Jetson architecture.
- Enhance the infrastructure and tooling used for performance analysis, ensuring efficient development cycles.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong programming proficiency in C++.
- Past experience collaborating with other software engineers.
- Minimum 3 years of industry experience.
- Background in Machine Learning, Image Processing, Computer Vision, or a similar field.
Nice-to-haves
- In-depth knowledge and experience with embedded systems development.
- Familiarity with CUDA/OpenCL programming and video processing pipelines.
- Proficiency with common ML tools (e.g., Spark, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Familiarity managing data processing and machine learning code via GitHub.
- Experience with iOS or Android mobile application development beyond UI.
- Experience with ROS or other robotics systems.
