About The Position

Position Description: Consumes and designs RESTful Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and works on standard methodologies in API design. Delivers resilient, high-quality software systems and User Interfaces (UIs) to production. Builds robust front-end experiences and user-centered products, services, and platforms on a scale. Performs front-end Web development using Angular 8+/ React, Typescript, Core JavaScript, HTML 5, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan computer software specifications on major projects. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and developing front-end applications within an investment or financial services environment.
Or, alternatively, Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and developing front-end applications within an investment or financial services environment.
Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") developing and implementing high-performance, user-centric front-end applications, using Angular 16+, HTML, TypeScript, JavaScript, and CSS; and implementing advanced optimization techniques (lazy loading, modular architecture, and reactive state management) with RxJS or NgRx, to enhance application speed, scalability, and user experience.
DE designing and maintaining scalable GraphQL APIs to streamline data access across distributed microservices and reduce issues of over-fetching and under-fetching; and integrating these APIs with Angular 16+ applications, using Apollo Client for advanced state management and caching, resulting in enhanced application performance, responsiveness, and developer productivity.
DE deploying scalable, Cloud-native solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure; and ensuring software quality and reliability through comprehensive unit and integration testing, using JUnit, Jest, and Cypress within Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, contributing to faster release cycles and reduced production issues.
DE implementing enterprise-grade observability solutions using Datadog, Splunk, and custom dashboards, to monitor application health, detect anomalies, and trigger real-time alerts; and reducing Mean Time To Resolution (MTTR) through proactive incident response and data-driven performance tuning.

Responsibilities

Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.
Works closely with product managers and stakeholders to ensure that digital solutions meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.
Proposes modifications and performs improvements based on user need.
