About The Position

MBA Consulting Services, Inc. (MBA CSi), a staff augmentation company, has a multi-year contract with the US Postal Service. The Software Engineering team in Merrifield, VA, has the need for a Senior Software Engineer. You will be an MBA CSi employee and support the USPS (client) as a contractor from the USPS Engineering Systems HQ facility. Your role will be to implement state-of-the-art solutions involving re-engineering, modernizing, and supporting several USPS systems.

Requirements

10+ Years of experience in a combination in the following areas: XML, ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML5. CSS3, Web Application Development, Unit Testing, SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, LINQ.
Extensive experience of the .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, ASMX and WCF Web Services, and ADO.NET.
Experience deploying application on IIS, applying certificates on webservers.
Proficient in SQL and SQL tuning procedures.
A minimum of 2 years of ORACLE 19c in a multi-user production environment.
Experience developing on multiple platforms including Windows/Linux.
3+ years of progressively more complex programming experience in large scale integrated applications is required.
Must be proficient in writing and maintaining batch jobs.
Must be able to communicate effectively, work in a team environment.
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science and from an accredited university.
At least 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Experience using MS Office Suite software (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook) and specialized software programs.
Candidate must be able to sit, stand and work at a computer for prolonged periods
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Ability to work flexible hours when needed
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check & drug test

Nice To Haves

Experience of at least 2 years with Linux scripting and Linux environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and support multi-tiered web and console-based applications using C#, .NET.
Implement solutions using database queries, stored procedures, functions and be able to do performance tuning.
Design, develop and maintain Web Services for integrations with applications.
Assist in the setting up of production environment and implementation of applications on servers.
