About The Position

Our client is an early-stage cybersecurity startup building an AI-driven platform that detects active data breaches and strengthens data access governance —ensuring the right people have access to the right data at the right time. The platform combines data classification, granular access control, and attack detection to reduce risk, improve compliance, and prioritize remediation. Requirements

  • 4–8 years of relevant software engineering experience
  • Strong development background in Golang, Scala, Java, Python, or C#
  • Strong fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, design patterns
  • Familiarity with databases such as MySQL
  • Clear communicator who collaborates well across teams
  • Able to work onsite 4 days/week in San Jose, CA (relocation assistance available)
  • Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for a full-time (non-contract) role

Nice To Haves

  • Experience solving data engineering problems at production scale
  • Familiarity with cloud/distributed tooling such as Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka (Confluent), CloudFormation (CFTs)

Responsibilities

  • Design and build highly scalable backend features for a next-generation data security platform
  • Tackle complex problems in a fast-paced environment—balancing speed with reliability
  • Collaborate closely with engineering partners to solve data engineering and platform challenges
  • Contribute to system design decisions, technical direction, and engineering best practices as the product scales
