We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Corporate Technology group. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and enhancing the common platforms that facilitate our various business domains. You will sit at the intersection of engineering and business operations, splitting your time between high-impact individual contribution and strategic system architecture. This is a highly collaborative role based in New York City (5 days in-office), designed for a self-starter who can own projects from ideation to deployment.

Requirements

  • Experience: 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally within financial services, fintech, or alternative investments.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong literacy in data infrastructure, coding best practices, and hands-on experience with AI technologies (AI code assistants, LLMs, Agents).
  • Proven Track Record: Experience leading the design and delivery of innovative "0 to 1" products and scalable frameworks.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work alongside cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Operations) to translate business needs into technical roadmaps.
  • Mindset: An entrepreneurial, "owner’s mindset" characterized by humility, long-term thinking, and the ability to operate autonomously in a flat organizational structure.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required; a Master’s degree or MBA is considered a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Ownership: Drive the technical design, implementation, and operational support of a modern cloud-native stack (primarily Kotlin, Python, Snowflake, Postgres, AWS, and Kubernetes).
  • Architectural Leadership: Participate in system design with a focus on security, data governance, and scalability as non-negotiable foundations.
  • Full-Stack Development: Build applications that manage complex data connectivity and workflows across internal departments and external partners.
  • AI Integration: Actively incorporate AI tools and LLMs into your daily engineering workflow to increase team velocity and share best practices.
  • Strategic Decision-Making: Make commercial-minded decisions on project scope for both greenfield builds and legacy enhancements.
  • Mentorship: Act as a collaborative peer within a high-functioning team, both learning from others and mentoring junior engineers.
