About The Position

With your technical expertise, you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in C++ and Java.
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • Experience with Android or embedded software.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience with data structure and algorithms.
  • 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Solve critical and ambiguous connectivity problems, including developing advanced pairing methods for glasses and phones to support AI, managing various wireless transports, and judiciously selecting the optimal communication medium depending on the user experience being exercised.
  • Partner with WearOS, Android Auto, and Android Better Together to shape future iterations of the Android platform.
  • Collaborate with our key stakeholders, glasses Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEMs), product managers, and technical program managers to drive the best decisions, co-ordinate efforts, and align expectations.
