Essential Responsibilities: The Senior Software Engineer – Cloud is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, testing, and maintaining hybrid and cloud-based software applications and contact center solutions in compliance with development standards. This role involves gathering requirements from internal departments, evaluating software performance, and ensuring reliability, scalability, and optimal functionality. The Senior Software Engineer – Cloud will design and implement software architectures and workflows using AWS services, VMware technologies, and hybrid cloud systems, while developing front-end components with ReactJS, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS, and back-end services using Java, Python, and Golang. The role also includes implementing AI- and ML-based solutions, such as generative AI, and predictive analytics, performing ETL and data analytics, designing and maintaining databases, and deploying applications using SaaS, AWS, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Terraform. Additionally, the engineer will conduct software testing, quality assurance, and security scanning, manage source code, maintain technical documentation, collaborate with release and configuration management, participate in Agile development, and report on project outcomes, schedules, and issues. Position may allow working from home within a commuting distance of worksite location. Multiple Positions.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science plus 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Software Engineer or related.
  • Must possess 5 years of experience with all of the following: developing and maintaining software applications using Java, Python, and Golang; designing and implementing front-end applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS, Angular, AngularJS, and Bootstrap; building back-end services and APIs using Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and SpringREST; designing, implementing, and managing relational and document databases including PostgreSQL and MongoDB; ETL processes, data analytics, and predictive analytics using machine learning frameworks PyTorch, TensorFlow, and NumPy; deploying applications to AWS and hybrid cloud environments; containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes; DevOps deployment using Jenkins pipelines; software testing and quality assurance using Junit, TestNG, and Selenium; source code management using Git and Perforce; Agile software development methodologies using Jira.
