  • Develop the next-generation Cloud-Native Database(TiDB) storage layer (e.g. TiKV) that is extremely scalable (e.g. PB level), optimized for the cloud environment and easy for backup and restore.
  • Design and develop reliable, scalable and efficient data backup and restore pipeline, including fast PiTR (Point in-time Recovery) ability upon massive dataset, as well as next-generation second-level backup solution based on native S3.
  • Analyze and improve TiDB's performance, stability, and scalability in the cloud environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customers' critical issues such as performance, stability, or scalability.
  • Influence and lead the team with expertise and engineering excellence.
  • Built and improved engineering practice for DBAAS infrastructure.
  • Mentor junior engineers and help to grow the whole team's technical capability.
  • Five (5) years of experience in software development/system development or related.
  • Three (3) years of experience in database, storage, and/or distributed system development.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS, GCP, and/or Azure.
  • Experience with container orchestration technology, e.g. Kubernetes.
  • Aptability to remote collaboration and work models.
