About The Position

Please Note: "This position requires passing a ServiceNow background screening, USFedPASS (US Federal Personnel Authorization Screening Standards). This includes a credit check, criminal/misdemeanor check and taking a drug test. Any employment is contingent upon passing the screening. As a Senior Software Engineer, focused on cloud infrastructure automation, you will have the opportunity to work on ServiceNow Platform and Tools, build solutions using workflows, orchestration and developer tools in Multi-Cloud infrastructure. Our auditing framework (Instance Analyzer) allows us to collect information across our entire cloud infrastructure to make business decisions, apply emergency fixes to customer instances and ensure compliance. What you get to do in this role: You will work as a member of our developer team that scales our auditing framework to meet the needs of the future. Experiment with the latest ServiceNow AI and GenAI offerings and other upcoming capabilities. You will also design and develop cloud automations & leverage AI/GenAI capabilities to support the deployment and management of ServiceNow products in our infrastructure. In addition to tools and automation, you will interact with other members of the infrastructure organization and the ServiceNow development teams

Requirements

  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry
  • 4+ years of experience in professional software development, preferably in the Cloud Infrastructure Environment
  • Solid foundation in distributed systems with proven experience in designing and architecting Systems
  • Advanced programming or scripting skills (using JavaScript) and experience in object-oriented design
  • Development of web-based database applications using Postgres or other relational databases
  • Experience integrating software and services using common API techniques (REST, SOAP, XML, etc.)
  • Experience working in Public Cloud environments such as Azure, AWS or GCP
  • Excellent technical design, problem-solving, debugging skills and an aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Team player, attention to detail and ability to work well and communicate with others
  • BS/MS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to Containers, Machine Learning or Big Data will be an advantage
  • Exposure to AI, Machine Learning will be an advantage.
