Wayne, IN focuses on providing world class Radar and Command and Control (C2) Software for our customers’ wide array of Surveillance and Warning Systems. BMS is looking to hire a skilled Senior Software Engineer with experience in C++ applications, to work onsite.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) AND a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant software development experience.
  • Experience with software development, test, and/or integration using Java, C++ or Ada.
  • Experience using debugging tools.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience on XBR, AN/TPY-2, COBRA DANE, QEWR, UEWR, SRP or other current missile defense programs
  • Experience working in Agile environments such as scrum, scrum at scale, SAFe or DevSecOps
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
  • Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to difficult technical problems
  • Experience with tools such as Atlassian Suite, Jenkins, Eclipse, and Ansible
  • Experience working in a continuous integration/continuous development environment, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Redhat and Linux Operating Systems.
  • Experience with Script languages like C shell, Perl.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test software based on software trouble reports in an agile, collaborative environment, delivering build to site twice a year.
  • Participate in agile execution and continuous improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with systems and SI&T engineers to analyze, implement, and test system modification requests to the existing system baseline.
  • Travel to customer site (up to 50%) for software build install and test, as needed.
