About The Position

Join us as we work to create a thriving ecosystem that delivers accessible, high-quality, and sustainable healthcare for all. Role summary: This Senior Software Engineer will design and build scalable, secure, and maintainable software that powers athenaCollector’s revenue cycle management features. This role is based in Boston, MA as a hybrid position. The engineer will collaborate across product, design, and operations teams to deliver high-quality services and will report to the Senior Manager. Team summary: In athenaCollector we build technology solutions that automate Revenue Cycle Management (RCM). This Collector team is implementing the underlying medical back-office processes to automate and integrate the unique claims cycle requirements. The athenaCollector product builds a critical part of the athenaOne platform, which helps our medical provider clients manage their business and revenue cycle (RCM), automating claims and billing for well over $200 billion in client revenue. This team focuses on providing both clients and athena teams with the right features and tools to minimize cash flow delays and operational costs, increase scalability, and help clients maximize the value they get from athenaOne. On this team you will work on services and user experiences that directly impact claims processing, billing, and client operations. You will help reduce manual work through automation, improve system observability and reliability, and deliver features that drive measurable business outcomes for provider clients. Collaboration with product managers, QA, SRE, and other engineering teams is central — you’ll participate in design discussions, code reviews, and delivery planning while mentoring more junior engineers and contributing to technical roadmaps.
