About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join a dynamic AI Agents team, focusing on backend systems that power conversational AI experiences for customers. In this role, you will take ownership of complex, open-ended problems and lead engineering efforts from ideation through execution. Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a track record of designing and delivering backend systems.
  • Proficiency with backend technologies such as Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience shipping web applications using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
  • Ability to define technical plans for significant features or system components with simple, extensible designs.
  • Experience making significant changes in large codebases safely, leveraging tools and best practices.
  • Strong ownership mindset with proactive growth and feedback-seeking behavior.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with global engineering teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team, navigating ambiguity and solving open-ended technical challenges.
  • Lead engineers through design, development, and deployment of backend systems at scale.
  • Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to articulate technical constraints and inform decision-making.
  • Identify project, process, technology, or business issues and lead initiatives to resolve them.
  • Support operational stability, including monitoring, metrics, escalation, and on-call efforts.
  • Promote a culture of quality and ownership through code review standards, design guidelines, and knowledge sharing.
  • Mentor and develop talent within the team, providing constructive feedback and leading by example.
