About The Position

As a Senior Software Engineer on our Ad Serving team, you'll help build the engine behind Best Buy's marketing platform. You'll design and deliver high-performance, scalable systems that serve thousands of requests per second. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create reliable, cloud-native solutions that power personalized customer experiences. If you enjoy solving complex problems and working on systems that make a real impact, this is the role for you. This role is remote eligible, which means you would work virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location.

Requirements

• 3 years of enterprise software engineering experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 3 years of development experience with Java, Spring, REST web services
• 3 years of experience with Advertising Technology
• Experience with high-performance, multi-threaded Ad Serving applications handling thousands of requests-per-second
• 1 year of recent cloud experience (AWS preferred or GCP)

Nice To Haves

• 6 years of experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 5 years of development experience with Java, Spring, REST web services
• Experience with high-performance, multi-threaded Ad Serving systems
• Strong understanding of ad delivery concepts and terminology
• Experience building cloud-native architectures using AWS services
• Proven ability to modernize legacy systems and optimize performance

Responsibilities

• Design and present technical solutions for a high-performance Ad Serving system
• Lead the delivery of complex, scalable software projects
• Make architectural decisions to prevent technical issues across systems
