We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Development Engineer with a focus on developing complex systems to serve as a Team Lead for multiple efforts as part of the Distributed Resource Mgmt & C2 IRAD. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating high-performance applications and will be involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle. You will work remotely with occasional on-site presence in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. The C2 SW product team uses DevSecOps processes and best industry practices to provide mission critical applications and platform services to meet the threats of today and tomorrow. Work remote with occasional on-site presence at Portsmouth, RI location.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience in analysis, design, integration, testing, and troubleshooting software.
  • Experience working in a team-focused development environment, such as Agile/SCRUM.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Containerized Deployments
  • Combat Systems experience
  • Experience with Java, containerized deployments (including Docker, Kubernetes), Gitlab etc.
  • Experience working with automated testing and continuous integration and deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test software updates existing software baseline to drive C2 capabilities forward
  • As a lead, support hiring, discussions on team issues/concerns, leads different team meetings, and drive different scope.
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders and other teams to ensure alignment of work
  • Maintain Secret Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
