About The Position

The Cosm Engineering team develops technology to deliver best-in-class experiences in our digital and live-streaming products. We are looking for a talented Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to help ensure quality and user experience across various platforms. We expect our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities, and be enthusiastic when taking on new problems across the full stack as we continue to push technology forward.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 6-8 years of hands-on experience coding and building automation frameworks, ideally in high-traffic digital, streaming, or entertainment environments
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar languages for robust test scripting.
• Proven track record with frameworks like WebdriverIO, Appium, Cypress, or equivalents.
• Expertise in testing libraries such as Mocha.js, Jest, or similar.
• Familiarity with cloud testing services like BrowserStack, LambdaTest, or Sauce Labs.
• Demonstrated experience automating tests for APIs, web, and mobile apps with comprehensive coverage.
• Proficiency with test management tools like Xray or TestRail.
• Analytical eye for risks to quality and UX; strong communicator in cross-functional settings; enthusiastic about mentoring and innovation.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of immersive tech (e.g., VR/AR), streaming protocols, or performance testing in media/entertainment is a huge plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for consumer-facing apps, internal tools, and immersive streaming platforms.
• Develop automated tests for APIs, mobile, web, and emerging immersive applications, emphasizing performance, security, and user experience.
• Collaborate with product managers and QA teams to prioritize and integrate high-impact tests into development cycles.
• Lead code reviews on pull requests, mentor peers, and enforce quality standards.
• Partner cross-functionally with design, product, and engineering teams to identify risks and enhance overall UX.
• Proactively spot quality issues, optimize testing pipelines, and leverage CI/CD for faster, reliable deliveries.
