About the position

The Senior Software Development Engineer for AWS Managed Services (AMS) will be responsible for developing and enhancing feature capabilities that facilitate the accelerated adoption of AWS services for enterprise customers. This role involves building innovative product capabilities that deliver operational outcomes for customers using a variety of AWS services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evolve feature capabilities for AWS services.
• Build new product capabilities to deliver operational outcomes for customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of AWS services.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead design discussions.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in software development and operational excellence.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor or tech lead in an engineering team.
• Knowledge of best practices for the full software development life cycle.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle including coding standards and testing.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
