About The Position

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join a premier software, research, and consulting firm specializing in industrial-organizational psychology. This role supports the development of high-quality HR and behavioral-science applications that help organizations make smarter workforce decisions. The Senior Developer will design, build, and maintain microservices using the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express, Angular, Node.js), contributing to systems that merge cutting-edge behavioral research with modern software engineering. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
3-5 years of professional experience developing and maintaining web-based applications.
Proficiency with the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js).
Demonstrated experience designing and consuming RESTful web services.
Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and document scalable microservices and web applications using the MEAN stack.
Implement and maintain RESTful APIs and backend logic to support enterprise-level applications.
Diagnose, debug, and resolve software defects; ensure reliable performance in production environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional research and IT teams to design user-friendly, data-driven applications.
Review code, maintain software libraries, and follow secure coding and version-control best practices.
Provide technical mentorship to peers and participate in architectural discussions.
Continuously evaluate emerging technologies to enhance development efficiency and application quality.
