The Company operates over 400 retail and outlet stores in the United States and Puerto Rico, the express.com online store and the Express mobile app. Responsibilities The Senior Software Developer will be focused on developing and maintaining full stack software solutions. This role will be responsible for the entire development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to deploying and maintaining solutions. In addition to developing new solutions, this hands-on role involves troubleshooting, enhancing existing systems while regularly interacting with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will lead the design and deployment of high-quality applications, ensuring timely delivery and optimal performance. This individual contributor will work closely with other developers, business users, QA and DevSecOps teams to ensure that all deliverables meet business requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent job experience.
5-7 years of experience in delivering full stack applications with Javascript, Typescript, Node.js.
Proficiency with various languages, databases, operating systems, scripting languages, and utilities.
Knowledge of Collaboration, Automation and Source Control Tools like JIRA, Confluence, Atlassian Stack, GitHub and Control M.
Possess an excellent knowledge of software development (i.e., program design, flowcharting, coding, testing, debugging, etc.).
Ability to multi-task between projects and applications and to manage multiple priorities, while meeting deadlines
Must be self-motivated, team-oriented and able to operate with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to adapt to change, keep abreast of technology trends, and learn new skills and technologies
Exceptional organizational, time-management and planning skills with a strong attention to detail necessary

Nice To Haves

Preferred exposure to Google Cloud or similar cloud platforms
Preferred experience in Retail industry
Preferred experience with Shopify platform and developing with Liquid templates or similar technologies
Preferred exposure to working with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager or similar analytics/tagging platforms.
Experience with Agile Methodologies using Atlassian

Responsibilities

Write high-quality, test-driven code
Demonstrate technical excellence in software development (program design, coding, testing, debugging).
Provide technical leadership; mentoring engineers while demonstrating technical expertise in languages, operating systems, databases, development tools, networking, and software.
Research, innovate, and implement new applications, functionality, and improvements.
Work with other members of the development team, product owners, and business analysts to define high level functional and technical requirements; then break those requirements down into tasks and provide guidance and oversight for development team members.
Be a key contributor in project planning by providing estimates, solutions, recommendations, and identifying risks.
Drive long term success, providing solutions that facilitate future progress.
Assist engineers and users in identifying and resolving system issues by providing application knowledge and technical expertise.
Recommend appropriate solutions, including risk analysis, opportunities, and estimates
Drive system enhancements and ecommerce innovation, assisting in development of patches or upgrades necessary to support system stability and performance
Provide on-call support for eCommerce platform
