Being empowered with the flexibility, reliability, and scalability of Virtual Networking, Cloud Applications and Cloud Platform enables Oracle's Enterprise customers to run their mission critical workload seamlessly on OCI. Within OCI, the Virtual Networking team is responsible for delivering innovative networks with high performance characteristics that exceed those of our competitors. As a member of the Network Load Balancer Data Plane (DP) team, you will take an active role in the design, implementation, and operation of highly available, massive scale, integrated cloud services in a distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment. As a member of the Virtual Network Interface Card as a Service (VNICaaS) team, you will take an active role in the design, implementation, and operation of highly available, massive scale, integrated cloud services in a distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment.

  • At least 4 years of experience with C/C++ programming in high-speed packet processing or for high-performance computing/networking systems (eg. optimizing CPU cycles, memory usage, high transaction rates with databases)
  • Familiarity with network packet processing pipeline (Layer-2 switching, Layer-3 routing, Load balancing, Address translations) preferred.
  • Experience with Embedded Linux systems is preferred
  • Understanding of data structures and algorithms and ability to optimize those to support high scale architectures
  • Working familiarity with network virtualization, network protocols and distributed systems
  • Strong understanding of IaaS/SaaS concepts and best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute individually as well as provide direction and mentor others
  • BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area

  • Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
