For more, visit www.auctionedge.com . We are currently seeking a Sr. Software Developer to join our team as a full time hybrid employee in our Franklin, TN office. This position requires a customer-focused, organized, team leader. Strong Java and SQL programming skills are required. Good communication skills are also needed.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a strategic plan for software operations that aligns with the organization's long-term goals, ensuring software operations contribute to the overall business strategy.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and coach a team of software operations professionals, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with executive leadership, other senior managers, and department heads to align software operations with the broader organizational strategy and drive cross-functional projects.
  • Maintain the stability and reliability of software systems to minimize downtime and disruptions. Proactively identify potential issues and implement preventive measures.
  • Facilitate the efficient deployment of software updates, patches, and new features. Enhance the workflow of deployments to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Respond to and resolve software-related incidents and problems in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensure that software systems adhere to security and compliance standards.
  • Document software configurations, processes, and best practices. Foster knowledge sharing within the team and with relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with end-users, customer support, account management, developers, and other relevant teams.
  • Foster collaboration within the team and with other departments for effective software operations.
  • Hold team members accountable for their roles and responsibilities.
  • Strive for continuous improvement in software operations and seek innovative solutions.
  • Ensure transparency in incident reporting, documentation, and communication.
  • Invest in the professional development of team members to stay updated on industry best practices.
  • Monitor and manage support requests and tickets for prompt issue resolution.
  • Groom Jira stories with software developers and QE.
  • Perform PRs of Java and SQL code.
