Requirements

  • Master's degree in early childhood education or related field with 36 college course hours in early childhood.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children and families.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle increased responsibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • CLASS reliability within 2 years of employment.
  • Obtain Food Manager and Safety Certification within 1 year of employment
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of liability insurance.
  • Passage of background clearance, physical, and TB test.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative oversight ensuring quality services to children and families.
  • Supervise site personnel and food associates.
  • Conduct site-based training, staff meetings, and monthly supervision meetings
  • Manage staff conflict and assist to come to a resolution.
  • Monitor account receivables, parent payments, and center expenditures.
  • Assist with recruitment, enrollment of eligible children and families.
  • Assist with parent involvement and coordinate monthly parent meetings and trainings.
  • Maintain and monitor child and family records to meet program requirements.
  • Conduct classroom observations and provide technical support and guidance to staff.
  • Ensure facility safety, health, and compliance with regulations.
  • Coordinate site staff needs, emergency leave, and building emergencies.
  • Prepare written reports, attend meetings, and participate in training workshops.
  • Actively support and hold each supervised employee responsible for achieving their professional growth and development goals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and accountability.
  • Other duties as assigned within the guidelines of this position.
