About The Position

In the role of Senior Civil Engineer, we'll count on you to lead site civil engineering design (site layout, Erosion Control, Storm, Grading & Drainage, Utilities) and production efforts for site civil engineering projects related to buildings, facilities, and infrastructure projects across diverse market sectors, including residential, commercial, and industrial developments, water/wastewater systems, municipal and federal projects, and power and data center facilities. You will serve as the Civil Engineer of Record, lead permitting efforts, collaborate closely with multidisciplinary design teams throughout all project phases, prepare detailed construction drawings, technical specifications, engineering calculations and reports, manage permitting processes with federal, state, and local agencies, provide support during the construction phase, lead and train a team of CADD designers, EIT’s, and Site Civil Engineers, and serve as a Project Manager on larger projects. Additionally, you will perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures, plan and develop projects or design activities that have significant impact on major company programs, assist in developing scope and fee proposals, and perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from an ABET-accredited university.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in site civil/land development design for buildings or infrastructure.
• Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
• Project Engineering and Project Management experience.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, ICPR/Stormwise, WaterCAD, and StormCAD.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within fast-paced, multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience serving as the Design lead for a team of civil engineering professionals on complex land development projects.
• Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to prioritize and highly organized.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with strong leadership skills.
• Proven experience serving as Engineer of Record on previous projects.
• Proposal writing experience.
• Prior experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
• Preference given to local candidates.

Responsibilities

• Lead site civil engineering design and production efforts for site civil engineering projects.

• Provide support during the construction phase, including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals.
• Lead and train a team of CADD designers, EIT’s, and Site Civil Engineers.
• Serve as a Project Manager on larger projects.
• Perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection, and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Plan and develop projects or design activities that have significant impact on major company programs.
• Assist in developing scope and fee proposals.
• Perform other duties as needed.
