About The Position

The Shared Services Engineer will play a key role within the Shared Engineering Services organization through closely collaborating with stakeholders across the organization and onboarding them to the Change/Problem Management programs as well as supported shared technology platforms. It’s a challenging, hands-on, role focusing on scalability, reliability and repeatability through offering and enabling standardization of processes and solutions while providing for the diverse needs of our user community. You’ll be working as part of a fast-paced, dynamic team, alongside skilled engineers with expertise across a diverse set of tools, disciplines, languages and technologies. The Shared Services Engineer should bring expertise and passion around Change/Problem Management, automating processes, ownership of shared platforms, working with content management tools, and developing business workflows.

Requirements

  • 3+ years managing, maintaining, leading, integrating and enhancing Change Management and Problem Management (ITIL) within Jira
  • Self-motivated problem solver with desire to make things work in creative ways
  • Practical experience with business process automation, workflow design and implementation
  • Hands-on scripting experience with languages such as Groovy, PowerShell, Python, Bash
  • Experience working with, developing on and/or administering content management tools (i.e. SharePoint, Confluence)
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships within the department and across the organization, including with both technology and business professionals

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Auditors and presentations within Audits (SOC-1) is a plus
  • Experience with Windows and Linux administration is a plus
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tooling like Gitlab/Terraform is a plus
  • Knowledge in agile methodologies is a plus
  • AWS resources and tooling is a plus
  • Professional experience in the Asset Management or Financial Services industry is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Document, lead and enhance firmwide practices within Change/Problem Management programs
  • Assist in workflow modifications and automations within Jira
  • Identify analyze and onboard strategic 3rd party products that bring new business capabilities
  • Meet with technology and business stake holders to understand current and upcoming needs
  • Maintain and enhance tools and applications to efficiently support technology and business teams
  • Manage content management, intranet and collaboration platforms and implement custom solutions (i.e. Jira, Confluence, SharePoint)
