About The Position

The Senior Services Supervisor provides leadership and operational oversight for the Senior Services department, which connects seniors and individuals with disabilities to community resources, long‑term support services, prescription assistance, and Medicare counseling. This role oversees staff, ensures high‑quality service delivery, supports program development, and maintains compliance with internal standards and external regulations. The Supervisor collaborates closely with the NVCC Manager and Senior Services Director to ensure smooth program operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience or related social services/nonprofit background.
  • Experience working with seniors, people with disabilities, and/or diverse populations preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Spanish - English Bilingual preferred.
  • Must obtain Medicare Assistance Program Level II Certification within 2 months of hire.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and work flexible hours.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.
  • Must pass a State of Nevada background check and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Resource & Service Navigators and provide coaching, training, and performance feedback.
  • Conduct evaluations, manage schedules, approve time off, and ensure appropriate coverage.
  • Identify departmental issues and communicate them to leadership.
  • Lead team meetings and support staff development.
  • Manage daily operations and ensure timely follow‑up on all inquiries and service requests.
  • Ensure program compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support implementation of new processes, systems, and quality improvements.
  • Oversee data collection, program reporting, and documentation accuracy.
  • Maintain effective relationships with community partners.
  • Represent the department at internal and external meetings.
  • Maintain a small caseload and provide direct client services when needed.
  • Ensure services are culturally competent and person‑centered.
