About The Position

The Prince George's County Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking Seasonal/Intermittent Class instructor applicants to provide instruction for specific skill areas including, but not limited to, computer skills, painting, drawing, arts & crafts, jewelry making, piano, singing, sign language, Spanish, Tai chi, yoga, aerobics, exercise, strength training, line dancing, and other specialty skills. Classes will be held in-person (indoor or outdoor). The salary range is $15.45 per hour to $34.00 per hour depending on education, certifications, and years of experience. Work Hours: Work hours are typically during the day but may vary based on the senior center's operating hours and class times, with flexibility to accommodate instructor availability. Note: The Camp Springs and Laurel-Beltsville locations have weekend hours.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must attain First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications (Certifications can be attained after being hired)
• Must attend all mandatory trainings.

Nice To Haves

• Have experience with class instruction for seniors
• Have certifications, education, and/or experience in the subject areas you are interested in teaching.

Responsibilities
