About The Position

The ServiceNow Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and administration of the ServiceNow platform to meet the organization's business needs. This role involves collaborating with various departments to understand requirements, configuring and customizing the platform, and ensuring optimal performance and functionality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or experience.
  • Proven experience as a ServiceNow Engineer, with a focus on system design, configuration, and administration.
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist or similar certifications.
  • Strong understanding of IT service management (ITSM) processes.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, XML, HTML, and other scripting languages.
  • Experience with REST and SOAP web services.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in ServiceNow development and administration.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Configure and customize ServiceNow modules, forms, workflows, and business rules to meet organizational needs.
  • Develop and maintain ServiceNow applications, modules, and features.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with other systems and applications as needed.
  • Create and maintain integration connectors and APIs.
  • Administer and maintain the ServiceNow platform, including user access, roles, and permissions.
  • Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
  • Implement automation and orchestration solutions to streamline business processes.
  • Create and manage orchestration workflows to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Create and maintain documentation for configurations, customizations, and processes.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to other team members.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, development, and business units, to understand and address their requirements.
  • Work closely with vendors and external partners for integrations and support.
  • Plan and execute ServiceNow platform upgrades and apply patches in a timely manner.
  • Test and validate new releases to ensure compatibility with existing configurations.
