About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Service Project Manager to oversee Service Project Managers and leads all aspects of assigned service projects in the Orlando, FL area. This role is fully accountable for project performance, including cost management, field labor, subcontractors, safety, quality, schedule, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent field experience.
  • 10+ years of project management experience with a mechanical subcontractor (HVAC/Plumbing).
  • Experience managing multiple commercial projects (e.g., university buildings, similar facilities).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take on responsibilities as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support Service Project Managers.
  • Champion all safety practices, conduct safety meetings, and support incident investigations.
  • Manage projects through the full lifecycle, ensuring work meets code, quality standards, budgets, and schedules.
  • Conduct project meetings such as hand-offs and kickoffs.
  • Set up projects in job-costing systems and oversee monthly reporting, forecasting, and schedule reviews.
  • Prepare and negotiate subcontractor/vendor purchase orders; review and approve submittals.
  • Drive cash flow through accurate billing, collections, and managing subcontractor payments.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements, insurance, contracts, bonds, lien waivers, and notifications.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, GCs, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Oversee field coordination, deliveries, labor reports, RFIs, inspections, permits, equipment rentals, and project documentation.
  • Estimate and process change orders.
  • Support quality assurance for drawings, fabrication, materials, and installation.
  • Coordinate start-up, commissioning, punch lists, O&M manuals, as-builts, and final inspections.
  • Manage project closeout, warranties, and final payments.
  • Support development of field personnel including tradespeople, foremen, and superintendents.
