As we expand our platform and scale to meet growing demand, we’re seeking a Senior Server-Side Swift & AWS Cloud Engineer to join our small, high-impact team. You’ll architect and optimize our cloud-native systems, with a strong emphasis on Server-Side Swift running on AWS. This role is a core technical position where your expertise will directly shape the reliability, scalability, and future of our platform.

  • Architect and maintain backend services and APIs using Server-Side Swift, focusing on high performance and reliability.
  • Write and optimize AWS Lambdas in Swift to power SongShift’s core workflows.
  • Design, implement, and manage distributed, serverless architectures on AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, Step Functions, API Gateway, SQS, CloudFront, Route53, etc.).
  • Build and manage multi-region active-active deployments to ensure availability, low latency, and fault tolerance.
  • Develop disaster recovery strategies, data redundancy solutions, and backup workflows to safeguard user data.
  • Familiarity with web technologies (JavaScript, Node.js, ReactJS, HTML, CSS) for occasional cross-stack contributions.
  • Comfortable with on-call/incident response responsibilities.
  • Strong experience in Server-Side Swift development.
  • Proficient in AWS services and serverless architecture.
  • Experience with distributed systems and multi-region deployments.
  • Ability to develop disaster recovery and data redundancy solutions.
  • Familiarity with web technologies for cross-stack contributions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a remote-first team.
  • Ability to take ownership of systems end-to-end.
  • UIKit experience for understanding iOS app API consumption.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and collaborate with mobile engineers on client-server integration issues.
  • Familiarity with SwiftUI, Combine, and modern iOS patterns.
