  • Select and evaluate sensors for future platforms.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to understand roadmaps, emerging technologies, resolve technical issues, and source sensors.
  • Manage all aspects of sensor integration and configuration.
  • Characterize and evaluate sensor performance, developing strategies for improving accuracy, reliability, and durability.
  • Ensure successful integration of sensors within the autonomous vehicle system through cross-organizational collaboration.
  • Build test assets for sensor evaluation, characterization, and validation.
  • Conduct field testing, data collection, and data analysis, documenting and reporting results.
  • Provide support for other sensor modalities and engineers as needed.
  • Collaborate on shared team tooling, infrastructure, and test assets.
  • Bachelor or Master in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related hands-on experience with Lidar and/or Radar, preferably in autonomous vehicles or robotics.
  • Strong practical experience with automotive sensors.
  • Proficiency in sensor data acquisition, processing, and analysis techniques.
  • Experience with signal processing, statistics, and machine learning algorithms.
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and visualization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Open-minded and collaborative team player with a willingness to assist others.
  • Passionate about self-driving technologies, tackling complex problems, and creating innovative solutions.
  • Experience with Cameras, GNSS, and/or IMU is a plus.
