Amentum is currently searching for a Senior Security Specialist to join our team on Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD to support our customer, PM Intelligence Systems & Analytics (PM IS&A). This is a hybrid position. This position will be responsible for various aspects of security, including personnel security, preparing and receiving visit certifications, foreign travel tracking, international travel tracking, pre- and post-foreign travel briefings, document control, and communications security (COMSEC). This position will also ensure compliance with regulations utilizing NISPOM and other program-specific security directives. Management responsibilities include facility clearances, staff clearances, and providing oversight for classified projects and resources. This is a full‐time, hybrid position, Monday through Friday, with flexibility around core hours and less than 10% travel expected. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.

  • Follow the NISPOM, ICD, and other government regulations.
  • Inform customers and users of published security policies and procedures.
  • Process and track security clearances throughout the organization.
  • Administer the classified documents accountability.
  • Establish and document security procedures.
  • Maintain and manage all classified holdings for facility including SIPR space.
  • Support security education and training compliance.
  • Protect classified government information, monitor security procedures, ensure compliance with all aspects of the program including administration of security actions and procedures.
  • Conduct security briefings and assist with development of security training and education programs.
  • Protect classified government information and publish security awareness for all cleared personnel.
  • Collect and organize data in a cohesive manner for use in SIMS and Special Programs database.
  • Investigate security violations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Track and maintain clearances via DISS, SIMS, and internal databases.
  • Support security inspections.
  • Trained Anti-Terrorism Officer (ATO).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management, Cyber Security, Computer Networking, Information Technology or related field.
  • Minimum of twelve (12) years related work experience.
  • An additional four (4) years of direct work experience may be substituted for the Bachelor Degree.
  • 10 years of direct experience in management of Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Must have an Active US Government Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • US Citizenship is required to maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
  • Must have an Army IC background.
  • Experience working with a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) as well as Temporary SCIF (T-SCIF).
  • Experience verifying clearances in DISS, safeguarding classified material, as well as packaging, shipment, and couriering of classified material.
  • Experience with foreign traveling briefings.
  • Experience creating badges, processing incoming and outgoing visit requests, and managing personnel security actions.
