  • Build and maintain backend services and in-house applications with a focus on performance, reliability and scalability to serve internal and external teams
  • Review existing legacy application code to determine re-usability and customization, including options for microservices
  • Write clean, maintainable and efficient code with high code quality
  • Develop automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of the codebase. Troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends, and educate engineers and PMs about new product possibilities enabled by these new technologies
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with both business and technical teams to gather functional requirements for in-house and external technologies
  • Experience in backend development with a focus on security
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go
  • Strong understanding of microservices and serverless architecture
  • Experience with data pipeline performance optimization
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
  • Experience in developing automated tests and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with cloud services and infrastructure
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance
