POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Regional Director, the Senior Security Operations Manager provides operational support, value-added services, management, and direction for Tarian security accounts. The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for the entire security program for the Client.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2–3 years of security management or supervisory experience
  • Proven ability to lead, delegate, and develop teams in a fast-paced, multi-site environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all organizational levels
  • Excellent customer service and client relationship skills
  • Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to independently interpret and enforce corporate policies and procedures
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data management systems; ability to learn TrackTik, VISION Labor Management Software, and e-SRT
  • Ability to analyze operational data and drive improvements
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements
  • Availability to provide operational support outside normal business hours as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA); certification required within one year of eligibility
  • Healthcare security experience
  • Experience managing large, armed security teams across multiple sites
  • Experience supporting client transitions and new account onboarding

Responsibilities

  • Hire, lead, coach, and evaluate Assistant Operations Managers, Site Managers, supervisors, and officers
  • Ensure adequate staffing at all sites by managing backfill needs and building a reliable bench of trained personnel
  • Oversee required training for all security personnel, including initial, annual, and ongoing training (minimum 32 hours per guard)
  • Coordinate daily staffing coverage, including special events and additional coverage requests
  • Ensure all posts are staffed with armed personnel as required by contract
  • Enforce compliance with facility orders, competency tasks, post orders, and assigned duties
  • Assist with investigations involving security personnel and provide input for corrective or disciplinary actions
  • Serve as the primary operational escalation point for clients and internal teams
  • Work closely with Site Managers to ensure client requirements are met, including safety huddles and site checks
  • Partner with clients to maintain, improve, and strengthen security programs
  • Conduct staff meetings; prepare reports and presentations as needed
  • Manage operational budgets, purchases, and cost controls
  • Coordinate with the Fleet Manager on vehicle assignment, maintenance, and repairs
  • Support onboarding and transition efforts for newly acquired security clients
  • Assist with responses to RFPs when needed
  • Maintain positive working relationships with client representatives, facility leadership, vendors, and public safety agencies
  • Provide operational support outside normal business hours as required
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
