Ensures that students and staff members are not only safe and secure but that they feel safe and secure. Controls access to the center. Answers and directs incoming phone calls in the absence of the Switchboard operator. Conducts physical security checks of the center grounds. Responds as requested to provide assistance to staff and students. Provides accurate and timely documentation as required. Provides transportation support to Center using GSA vehicles. Dispatches and accounts for GSA vehicles Makes physical inspections and security checks of grounds and facility and documents results. Supervises Security Officers and coordinates with them to achieve tasks Reports fires and assists in suppressing fires. Investigates incidents on center and provides clear and accurate reports. Performs First-Aid and CPR as needed. Controls disturbances and assists staff in de-escalating volatile situations. Ensures students’ civil rights are not violated. Transports students as assigned. Demonstrates helpful, responsible, and caring attitude. Picks up and delivers material as directed. Performs routine vehicle inspections on GSA fleet. Reports vehicle repair needs to supervisor. Completes required security logs, documentation, and records accurately and on time. Maintains timely and accurate vehicle and transportation logs and records. Maintains timely and accurate student accountability Accurately logs employees, visitors, vendors and students as they enter and exit the center. Searches all students entering center for contraband. Searches others entering and exiting center as directed. Supervises students in isolation. Answers the phone in a timely manner. Ensures phone is used for official business only Other duties as assigned
