About The Position

Design and implement the secure infrastructure that powers Decagon AI's customer experience platform. You'll build the foundational systems that support our AI agents' security framework while ensuring enterprise-grade reliability and scalability. This role focuses on GCP architecture improvements and building security infrastructure that enables our software-first approach to protecting conversational AI. Decagon’s team is some of the best in the industry, so you’ll work alongside a skilled and enthusiastic team.

Requirements

• 5+ years building production infrastructure with security focus, preferably for SaaS or enterprise software
• Deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform architecture, including compute, networking, security, and managed services
• Advanced proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools for automated infrastructure management
• Experience with secure container deployment, service mesh architecture, and Kubernetes security best practices
• Proven experience building infrastructure that handles millions of requests per day with strict latency requirements

Nice To Haves

• Track record of building infrastructure that supports rapid business growth and customer acquisition
• Strong understanding of the operational challenges of securing customer-facing AI systems
• A high degree of comfort digging into systems with deep technology stacks using any tool necessary

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, multi-tenant infrastructure that isolates customer data while enabling efficient AI model serving
• Build Infrastructure as Code systems for deploying and managing security tools across development and production environments
• Ensure our security infrastructure maintains 99.99% uptime to protect customer interactions without service disruption
• Optimize security systems to handle millions of concurrent conversations while maintaining sub-100ms response times
• Implement systems that support SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other enterprise compliance requirements
• Design and maintain backup systems and recovery procedures for security infrastructure
