The Security Engineer - AWS Identity & Access Management (IAM) at CVS Health plays a pivotal role within the Technology Services & Solutions organization, focusing on the development and management of AWS IAM capabilities across the company's various operational footprints. This position is essential for ensuring that CVS Health's cloud environments are secure and compliant with industry standards. The Security Engineer will collaborate closely with Information Security, Technology Services & Solutions, application development teams, and the Enterprise Product and Digital organizations to create and maintain secure AWS IAM environments that are recognized as best-in-class models in the industry. In this role, the Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, automating, and testing identity and access management procedures that provision role-based access across AWS environments. The individual will drive the governance of the AWS IAM program, setting objectives, implementing solutions, and defining standards and policies to enhance the secure adoption of IAM practices. The role requires a proactive approach to addressing the evolving threat landscape, ensuring that security measures are integrated into the DevOps and software development lifecycles through effective communication and automation. Additionally, the Security Engineer will coordinate comprehensive AWS IAM security testing and analysis, identifying opportunities for CVS Health to improve its IAM maturity. This includes aligning AWS IAM efforts with regulatory compliance and contractual obligations, making recommendations for improvements, and promoting the adoption of AWS IAM policies and control standards. A thorough understanding of AWS IAM technologies, security best practices, and the ability to solve complex challenges with automated solutions are critical for success in this position. The Security Engineer will also be expected to think strategically, developing long-term plans for AWS IAM security programs that scale with the organization's growth and adoption goals.
