About The Position

PHINIA is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Architect to help shape and advance our global cybersecurity strategy. This individual will design modern security architectures, guide technology roadmaps, and ensure strong alignment between cyber capabilities, business priorities, and emerging threats. A successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and demonstrated experience delivering secure architectures in hybrid cloud environments. Familiarity with CrowdStrike Falcon is strongly preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, including architecture, engineering, or security operations.
  • Hands‑on expertise with enterprise security technologies (firewalls, IPS/WAF, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, IAM).
  • Strong working knowledge of cloud platforms and securing workloads in Azure and hybrid environments.
  • Experience with IT infrastructure fundamentals (OS, networking, virtualization, containers, storage).
  • Familiarity with regulatory and control frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, SOX, and GDPR.
  • Ability to translate complex cyber concepts into business‑aligned recommendations.
  • Executive‑ready communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking paired with practical implementation experience.
  • Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally and influence without authority.
  • Continuous learner who stays ahead of evolving threats and technologies.

  • Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, or other.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain enterprise security architecture, ensuring alignment with business and risk‑management objectives.
  • Develop security standards, reference architectures, and patterns across cloud and on‑prem environments.
  • Serve as a subject‑matter expert for key security technologies, including endpoint protection, network security, identity technologies, and SIEM/logging platforms.
  • Lead architectural reviews and provide expert guidance for major initiatives and technology deployments.
  • Partner with engineering, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to embed security into solution design and CI/CD processes.
  • Drive threat modeling activities and ensure security requirements are integrated into applications and services.
  • Work closely with the SOC, CISO organization, and IT operations to continuously optimize the cyber defense posture.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations based on security, operational, and financial considerations.
  • Architect, optimize, and enhance PHINIA’s enterprise deployment of CrowdStrike Falcon, including EDR/XDR, identity protection modules, threat‑hunting integrations, and sensor baseline governance.
