About The Position

Our Digital Modernization Division is an information technology and management consulting department that offers integrated, strategic solutions to its public and private-sector clients. ICF has the expertise, agility, and commitment to design, build, and operate high-performance IT engines to support all aspects of our client’s business. Job Summary: ICF is seeking a skilled Senior Scrum Master to join our team. The Scrum Master will be responsible for conducting and managing agile scrum activities of a development team. The Scrum Master will be responsible for ensuring that scrum rules are followed, and that scrum metrics are gathered to track team’s progress. In addition, the scrum master will be working very closely with the Product Owner, establishing and enforcing sprint priorities and releasing delivery deadlines. Job Location: This position requires that the job be performed in the United States. If you accept this position, you should note that ICF does monitor employee work locations blocks access from foreign locations/foreign IP addresses and also prohibits personal VPN connections.

Requirements

  • 7 years' of scrum master experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • US Citizenship is required by the federal government for this position
  • Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
  • MUST RESIDE IN THE United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.), as this work is for a federal contract and laws do apply.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a consulting capacity
  • Experience with backend SQL Server management
  • Strong understanding of relational database and data warehousing concepts (e.g., OLAP, dimensional modeling)
  • Extensive experience dashboarding (building dashboards from scratch and adding new features)
  • Any additional experience in Data Visualization, Customer Experience, Human-Centered design, Data Science, or Statistical Modeling is welcome
  • Experience working in or with the federal government.
  • Secret Clearance preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives) for one or more teams
  • Guide teams in the adoption and consistent application of Agile/Scrum principles, practices, and frameworks
  • Remove impediments and foster an environment of continuous improvement and high performance
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure a clear and actionable product backlog
  • Coach team members, stakeholders, and leadership on Agile values and practices
  • Track and communicate team progress, metrics, and outcomes to stakeholders
  • Support teams in identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Promote transparency, collaboration, and open communication within and across teams
  • Assist in the discovery of new opportunities for team growth and development
  • Work with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches to share best practices and align on organizational Agile maturity
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, standards, and governance related to Agile delivery
  • Engage with technical teams (e.g., Data Engineering, BI Analysts, LLM Engineers, Service Designers and Researchers) to support cross-functional collaboration and delivery
