About The Position

Evans & Chambers Technology is seeking a highly motivated Senior Scrum Master to join our team! Evans & Chambers partners with the US national defense community to create fully integrated, resilient, and innovative digital solutions that enable them to make smart decisions in real-time. We work with our customers on everything from conquering their data to improving and safeguarding IT infrastructure. Our ultimate goal? To enhance our nation's ability to identify, address, and act - no matter what challenges arise. We are seeking a Senior Scrum Master to join our agile team and drive the successful implementation of Scrum methodologies across multiple teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Agile frameworks, hold an Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM) or Certified Scrum Professional - ScrumMaster (CSP-SM) certification, and have a technical background, preferably in AWS cloud environments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, preferably in a cloud or software development environment.
  • Certified Scrum Professional - ScrumMaster (CSP-SM) or Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM) certification.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS).
  • Experience working in a cloud-based environment, preferably AWS.
  • Proven ability to coach teams, lead Agile transformations, and drive process improvements.
  • Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical background or experience in AWS services, DevOps, or software engineering.
  • Familiarity with Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience working with distributed teams in a remote-first environment.
  • Knowledge of scaling frameworks like SAFe or Nexus is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a servant leader and Agile coach for development teams, guiding them in Agile best practices and Scrum methodologies.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, and Reviews) and remove impediments to team progress.
  • Promote Agile principles and a continuous improvement mindset across teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to refine and manage product backlogs, ensuring clear prioritization and alignment with business objectives.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, DevOps engineers, and infrastructure architects, to improve delivery efficiency.
  • Track team metrics (e.g., velocity, cycle time) and use data to drive process improvements.
  • Partner with development teams to enhance Agile adoption within a cloud-based (AWS) environment.
  • Work with engineering leadership to ensure technical excellence aligns with Agile practices.
  • Help teams navigate challenges related to cloud-native applications, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.
