About The Position

Position Summary: Entegris is seeking a Senior Scientist to join its Analytical Services team in Chaska/Bloomington, MN. This role will be responsible for leading testing, maintenance, method development, and optimization on our suite of Thermal Desorption Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (TD-GCMS) instrumentation and serve as a subject matter expert. Requirements

• MS with 3 years relevant industry experience or PhD with relevant experience in analytical chemistry related field or equivalent work experience to demonstrate competency.
• Considerable knowledge and understanding of GCMS systems and operations, Perkin Elmer experience ideal.
• Detail orientated with strong technical communication skills.
• Ability to work adhering to deadlines; multitasking and prioritizing as needed.
• Self-motivated and independent problem solver.
• A team player.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with other analytical instrumentation including IC, ICP, LPC and polymers is a plus.
• Familiarity with Labware LIMS.

Responsibilities

• Support laboratory operations including performing sample prep and analysis following established SOP’s and safety protocols.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain analytical instrumentation specifically GCMS, but potentially to include ICPMS, IC, etc.
• Analyze data and communicate results effectively.
• Perform method development, validation, and design of experiments for R&D projects.
• Drive for continuous improvement of existing testing methods and procedures.
• Continuous training on various analytical techniques and methods.

• Compensation: $74,000- $89,000 per year with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
