We are searching for the best talent for Senior Scientist Ocular Materials to be in Jacksonville, Florida. The ideal candidate will collaborate within a multidisciplinary group to investigate the impact of various chemical compounds on polymerization kinetics and performance of Class II and Class III medical devices. Project work will include multistep small molecule synthesis and characterization of novel monomers, raw material analysis, formulations, material synthesis, device fabrication and analytical characterization of the finished products. A strong background in organic synthesis is essential, and knowledge of polymer science and photochemistry are desirable. Small molecule process development and scale up activities based on defined repeatability and reproducibility targets will be required.
