We are seeking a Senior Scientist - LCMS to join IQVIA Laboratories at Indianapolis, IN. In this role, you will lead assay and method development projects of moderate complexity, ensuring effective delivery against timelines while providing technical leadership and mentoring junior staff. What you’ll be doing: Plan development processes and author methods; execute method development experiments as needed. Validate methods and support analytical testing delivery. Troubleshoot assays for process optimization and contribute to lab investigations. Transfer methods to validation and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure scalability and sustainability. Apply advanced domain knowledge to resolve technical inquiries and lead troubleshooting projects using root cause analysis. Mentor and train junior staff; lead technical projects of low to moderate complexity and oversee deliverables. Support maintenance and operational standards of lab equipment; participate in evaluation and validation of new instrumentation. Maintain laboratory notebooks under regulatory standards and follow all SOPs and safety requirements. What We Are Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline required. Minimum 4 years of related experience in method or assay development; LC-MS method development experience required. Strong knowledge of assay/method development principles, instrumentation, and regulatory requirements. Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree. The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed for this role: Expertise in LC-MS method development and troubleshooting techniques. Ability to lead projects, mentor staff, and apply advanced problem-solving strategies. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain independence, and deliver projects under timeline expectations. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time).
