About The Position

Join our dynamic and cutting-edge research program focused on the chemical senses. As part of our multi-disciplinary discovery team, you will collaborate with our global R&D community to explore chemosensory receptor-driven perception and its applications in taste and health. We are seeking an exceptional and goal-oriented expert in small molecule discovery in a high-throughput screening setting. The successful candidate will oversee HTS assay development and screening operations, including scheduling, monitoring assay performance, and data flow. The ideal candidate will have abundant experience in running GPCR and ion channel cell-based assays with excellent troubleshooting skills.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Molecular or Cell Biology, Neuroscience, or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
  • Proven track record of accomplishment leading scientific teams and managing scientists in an HTS or related lab environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in GPCR or ion channel pharmacology and structure-function analysis, combined with advanced data analysis capabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively, and build professional relationships in a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Strong organizational skills with initiative to develop new assays and streamline workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure assay robustness and reproducibility of results.
  • Supervise assay transfer from Biology to HTS group.
  • Supervise daily operations within the high-throughput screening and compound reformatting laboratories, ensuring efficient management of all assay processes and compound-related activities.
  • Review and analyze screening data to promote hits to leads in the different discovery programs and troubleshoot assay or equipment issues as they arise.
  • Remain current with relevant knowledge and screening technologies and contribute to the design and implementation of experiments for new HTS assays.
  • Foster a problem-solving mindset and devise innovative approaches to research challenges.
  • Work with Data Science group to enable or facilitate AI-driven operations and data analysis.
  • Prepare and submit scientific manuscripts, patent applications, and internal reports to top peer-reviewed journals.
