The candidate will develop and implement statistical and econometric methodologies to improve results validity, power, and generalizability. They will guide and assist customer teams throughout the experimentation lifecycle, including experiment design that addresses business questions, experiment implementation, appropriate methodological choices for analysis, and interpretation of results. The candidate will also educate peers about experimentation best practices and pitfalls through presentations, documentation, face-to-face discussions, and other channels. Additionally, they will work with customers and other stakeholders to understand business goals for experimentation, identify areas of opportunity in platform functionality, and drive cross-functional platform development across science, product, and engineering from ideation to productionalization. Mentoring junior colleagues and continuously contributing to upleveling the skills of the team is also a key responsibility.

  • Ph.D. in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research or other quantitative field with a focus on or substantial experience in statistical / econometric methodology.
  • Ability to use Python to work efficiently at scale with large data sets.
  • Advanced knowledge of experimental design and statistical / econometric methods.
  • Experience developing experimentation methodology and building experimentation platforms.
  • Experience with production-level software development.
  • Track record of technical leadership.
