About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist to join our Biologics Potency team within the Cell-Based Sciences, Analytical Research and Development organization of our company's Research Laboratories in Rahway New Jersey. The qualified candidate will be responsible for developing, establishing pre-qualification and robustness, and transferring immunoassays and cell-based potency assays to assess the biological activity of various biologics modalities such as antibodies, multifunctional proteins, peptide therapeutics, antibody-drug-conjugates, and novel biologics.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related field, OR M.S. in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR B.S. in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with cell-based assays and immunoassays.
• Strong understanding of biological potency and assay development.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize cell-based potency assays and immunoassays for biologics.
• Conduct pre-qualification and robustness studies for assay validation.
• Transfer assays to internal and external partners.

• Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records.
• Contribute to the preparation of regulatory submissions and technical reports.
