The Senior Scientist - Analytical Development (AD) Synthetic Molecules - Early Development at Takeda is responsible for providing theoretical and conceptual input to the design, development, and execution of research assignments. This role focuses on driving efficient progress towards early regulatory agency filings and involves significant technical leadership within project or complex studies. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and the ability to influence scientific and technical improvements within the organization.

  • Develop project and technical strategy within area of expertise.
  • Plan and coordinate with cross-functional peers to evaluate the impact of decisions across CMC functions.
  • Prepare and coordinate completion of technology transfer documentation and regulatory documents.
  • Coordinate project transfers within Takeda or externally as necessary.
  • Identify and plan broader technical objectives with input from management.
  • Recommend vendors and manage vendor relationships across multiple projects.
  • Lead or influence complex/multiple projects or functional areas.
  • Review, interpret, and communicate data across CMC and project teams.
  • Conduct analysis of technical and conceptual risks and trends.
  • Define complex/novel approaches to solving technical challenges.
  • Bachelors degree in chemistry, biology, pharmacy, or related pharmaceutical science with 11+ years of relevant industry experience, or a Masters degree with 9+ years, or a PhD with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience in CMC pharmaceutical development under cGMP's.
  • Sound knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Experience with contract facilities and contributing to regulatory filings.
  • Strong communication skills and technical writing abilities.
  • Project management skills and ability to manage time effectively.
  • Demonstrated involvement in the professional community through presentations at conferences.
  • Leadership skills to influence and guide others towards departmental goals.
