About The Position

As a YA Senior Scheduling Consultant, you will be working independently to coordinate and manage construction schedules for various projects. Senior Scheduling Consultants are responsible for performing inspections of project sites to evaluate project progress, conducting analysis of project documents and data, effectively relaying findings, and updating schedules. Senior Scheduling Consultants are expected to use a large measure of independent judgement, considering and weighing alternatives when appropriate, taking into account the financial and operational significance of the services being performed. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or equivalent field.
  • 5-7 years in construction scheduling experience.
  • Experience using critical path method (CPM) techniques to analyze construction project schedules.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Oracle Primavera 6, and ASTA Powerproject.
  • In-depth knowledge of Excel’s compatibility with P6 in regard to automating data imports.
  • Previous experience or exposure to construction claims management and managing contractors.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team towards a common purpose.
  • Strong communications skills, with the ability to interface with various stakeholders and clients.

Nice To Haves

  • Holds a PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) certification, a plus.
  • Experience on large construction projects ($500 million+), a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in all phases of the construction planning & scheduling process, including the development of schedules and ongoing schedule updates.
  • Conduct forensic analysis of project schedules, contemporaneous documentation, and construction costs.
  • Perform inspections of construction project sites, evaluating project progress.
  • Review and organize large amounts of construction project documents and data.
  • Perform schedule delay analysis to establish the cause and extent of delays and to resolve construction delay claims.
  • Evaluate construction productivity and progress data, extended general conditions, and expediting expenses.
  • Assess the impact of project changes and schedule delays, effectively communicating findings.
  • Operates on behalf of clients to monitor and manage timelines, expenses, and other factors critical to operational efficiency and cost management during all phases of construction.
  • Review and synthesize relevant information to prepare technical project reports.
  • Maintain job files, documentation, and other relevant deliverables.
  • Interface with other department employees, contractors, and clients on a regular basis
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
