About The Position

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior level construction Scheduler to support a major, multi‑phase data center construction program in the Abilene, TX / Shackelford County region. This role will lead scheduling efforts on a complex, hyperscale data center program. You will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining detailed construction and commissioning schedules, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including design, construction, and trade partners to ensure schedule integrity, risk mitigation, and performance tracking. Travel, Per Diem & Relocation: Per diem provided for required travel. Mileage reimbursement available for candidates living within driving distance. For those traveling farther, the client will cover travel for time required on-site. Relocation assistance is available for candidates interested in moving closer to the site.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, critical path method (CPM), and resource loading.
  • Experience with data center construction or mission-critical infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Excel, and other reporting tools for KPI tracking and dashboard creation.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years of experience in construction scheduling.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-tech environments with aggressive timelines.
  • PMP, PSP, or equivalent certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive construction and commissioning schedules for data center projects from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and trade partners to gather input, validate sequencing, and ensure schedule feasibility.
  • Conduct detailed schedule analysis to identify potential risks, delays, and opportunities for acceleration or optimization.
  • Proactively implement recovery strategies and mitigation plans to maintain project milestones and contractual obligations.
  • Facilitate and lead schedule review meetings, presenting updates, forecasts, and critical path analyses to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establish, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor project health, progress trends, and forecasting accuracy.
  • Integrate subcontractor and vendor schedules into the master project schedule, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives.
  • Support project controls functions including progress measurement, earned value analysis, and delay impact assessments.
  • Provide schedule input for change orders, scope modifications, and claims analysis, ensuring accurate documentation and justification.
  • Ensure adherence to client’s scheduling standards, tools, and best practices, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
